Dancegod Lloyd, crew sued over GH30,000 contract breach

A talent management organization has sued popular Ghanaian dancer Dancegod Lloyd and his “Dance, Grow, and Live” troupe for breach of contract, claiming that they failed to follow a GH₵30,000 agreement.
A contract for the promotion of a song by Chilly Way, an artist signed to Fulan-Turkso, on the dance crew’s social media accounts was signed on September 23, 2023, according to the lawsuit filed by Fulan-Turkso Enterprise in the Madina District Court.
“The defendants, to the best of the plaintiff’s mind, are dancers who promote music. Sometime on 23rd September 2023, the plaintiffs hired the services of the defendants to promote the music of an artist the plaintiff is managing on social media and traditional media.
“The plaintiff and the defendants signed a contract to that effect and consideration was given to the defendant. (Attached as Exhibit A is a copy of the contract),” portions of the summary of the plaintiff’s case read.
Plaintiff pointed out that the defendant did not honor the agreement, thus the original agreed-upon date was extended. However, the plaintiff did not fulfill their half of the bargain once more, which resulted in the lawsuit being filed.
Fulan-Turkso is requesting that the court grant them special and general damages, as well as expenses, including legal fees, against the defendants, and compel Dancegod Lloyd and his crew to return the GH₵30,000.
